Old SignWriting Documents Copied into SignPuddle
Software
You provide us with a document already written
in SignWriting, either by hand or stored in old
software, in any sign language, and a SignWriting
Copyist copies each sign exactly as written, into
SignPuddle.
2. SignWriting Video
Transcription of Individual Signs in ASL
You provide us with a video of individual signs,
such as vocabulary lists for dictionary entries,
in ASL, and a SignWriting Transcriptionist writes
those signs one by one in SignWriting, adding
them to a SignPuddle dictionary file, including
an English word gloss for searching.
3. SignWriting Video
Transcription of Individual Signs
in Other Sign Languages
You provide us with a video of individual signs,
such as vocabulary lists for dictionary entries,
in any sign language other than ASL, and a SignWriting
Transcriptionist writes those signs one by one
in SignWriting, adding them to a SignPuddle dictionary
file, including a foreign word gloss for searching.
4. SignWriting Video
Transcription of Individual Signs
Written With More Detail
You provide us with a video of individual signs,
such as vocabulary lists for dictionary entries,
in any sign language, ASL included, and a SignWriting
Transcriptionist writes those signs one by one
in SignWriting, adding them to a SignPuddle dictionary
file. The signs will include added detail that
we normally do not write. You can stipulate what
details you want to include, such as mandatory
beginning and ending positions, writing the details
of mouthing while signing, writing the details
of timing down to seconds of each movement, and
so forth. This price varies depending upon
the level of detail.
5. Adding Detailed
SignSpelling Sequences to Each Dictionary Entry
Your signs are already written in SignPuddle,
but you need detailed SignSpelling Sequences added
to your entries, for research purposes. This includes
adding detailed Location Markers that are needed
for sorting signs by computer. These Location
Markers are not actually written with, on a daily
basis, but are useful for detailed analysis of
location for linguistic databases.
6. SignWriting Video
Transcription of ASL Sentences and Storytelling
You provide us with a video of ASL storytelling,
conversations, or sentences, and a SignWriting
Transcriptionist writes the entire document, adding
it to a SignPuddle literature file, including
any English translation that you provide us with.
7. SignWriting Video
Transcription of Sentences and Storytelling in
Other SLs
You provide us with a video of sign language storytelling,
conversations, or sentences (any sign language
other than ASL) and a SignWriting Transcriptionist
writes the entire document, adding it to a SignPuddle
literature file, including any spoken language
translation that you provide us with.
8. Cutting a Video
into Individual Videoclips, Uploading & Linking
to SignPuddle
You provide us with a sign language video in a
computer format, and we then cut the video into
individual signs, and upload the video clips into
an online storage service, such as YouTube, and
we then embed the link to that video into SignPuddle,
so your video clip is viewed side by side with
the SignWriting transcription of that sign in
SignPuddle.
9. Editing an Illustration
or Photo in Photoshop and Uploading to SignPuddle
You provide us with the illustration or photo
you wish to upload, in any graphics format, and
we then prepare the illustration or photo in Photoshop
if necessary, and upload the illustration or photo
into SignPuddle, so your illustration or photo
is viewed side by side with the SignWriting transcription
of that sign in SignPuddle.
10. Software Assistance
with Data Transfer, SignPuddle to Other Software
Once your data is stored in SignPuddle, we can
help you with transferring your data to any other
software. Steve Slevinski, the developer of SignPuddle,
gives personal support and help with any software
issues. General tech support is free of charge
and automatic, but specific projects that need
special transfers need to write to us to ask us
what is involved.
